Call for Scholarships
Update on the applications for scholarships:
Roughly 230 applications were received. This clearly prevents us from granting all that was requested. We have received all the funds we applied for in order to grant scholarships, but, given the number of applications, the amount is enough to cover a part of the applications only. Most likely, we will be able to cover only a number of free registrations. This means that applicants should look for other funding possibilities to cover their costs, partially or in total. We plan to make the final decision by the deadline previously announced. Please take a look at the website from time to time.
Student Attendance Support
We are thrilled to announce funding for AAMAS 2023 student scholarships. These scholarships will assist in partially covering travel and registration expenses for eligible students. To qualify, you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a higher education institution, such as a university.
When allocating awards, priority will be given to students who are listed as authors of a paper accepted for AAMAS 2023, including full papers and extended abstracts at the main conference. Next, scholarships will be awarded to students who have a paper accepted at the Doctoral Consortium. If funding permits, we also aim to support students from under-represented groups who do not have a paper accepted.
Please note that attending the conference is a requirement for receiving support. No funding will be provided for students who do not attend AAMAS 2023.
Important Dates
- Application Submission Deadline: March 1, 2023 (23:59 UTC-12)
- Notification: March 25, 2023 (23:59 UTC-12)
Submission Requirements
To apply for the student scholarship, please register and complete the application form by following this link:
The scholarship application submission deadline has passed.
The application form will require a scanned copy of your student ID card as proof of full-time enrollment.
We take your privacy seriously and the application form is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all relevant US guidelines. Your information will be kept, processed, and then destroyed in accordance with these regulations.
Please note that acceptance into the scholarship program requires attendance at the conference and participation as a student volunteer. Student volunteers may be asked to assist with various conference duties, such as assisting at a specific session. Successful US applicants are also expected to participate in the Doctoral Consortium, either as a presenter or attendee, with no requirement to have a paper accepted. Additionally, US applicants will be asked to submit a report on their conference experience.
The application deadline is March 1st, 2023 (11:59pm UTC-12) and you will be notified of your application status by March 25th, 2023 (11:59pm UTC-12). If your application is accepted you may receive a form of financial assistant to partially cover conference registration fees. We kindly ask applicants to not register for the conference prior to receiving the scholarship notification, as we will not be able to reimburse any payments made beforehand.
